眾所周知,，在雅思寫(xiě)作的圖表作文部分,，經(jīng)常要求考生對(duì)數(shù)字做出描述，而在雅思的聽(tīng)力部分,，也經(jīng)常會(huì)涉及對(duì)數(shù)字的聆聽(tīng)和拼寫(xiě),，因此，考生一定要系統(tǒng)掌握數(shù)詞的讀法及寫(xiě)法,。數(shù)詞是表示數(shù)目的多少或順序的詞,，分為基數(shù)詞和序數(shù)詞。其中,，表示數(shù)目多少的數(shù)詞叫基數(shù)詞;表示順序的數(shù)詞叫序數(shù)詞,。
　　(1)表示二十以上的十位數(shù)，要在個(gè)位數(shù)與十位數(shù)之間加連字符號(hào),，如：72=seventy-two;表示百位數(shù),，要在百位數(shù)與十位數(shù)之間加and，如：131=one/a hundred and thirty-one;如果十位數(shù)是零,，則在百位數(shù)和個(gè)位數(shù)之間加and,，如：508=five hundred and eight。
　　(2)書(shū)寫(xiě)千位數(shù)以上的阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字,，從后往前每隔三位數(shù)用一個(gè)分節(jié)號(hào),，讀法是從右往左數(shù)，三位數(shù)一個(gè)逗號(hào),，從右數(shù)第一個(gè)逗號(hào)讀thousand(千),。如： 1,000 =one/a thousand 10,000=ten thousand 100,000=one/a hundred thousand 從右數(shù)第二個(gè)逗號(hào)讀million(百萬(wàn)),。如：1,000,000=one/a million10,000,000=ten million 100,000,000=one/a hundred million 從右數(shù)第三個(gè)逗號(hào)讀billion(十億)。如： 1,000,000,000= one/a billion 10,000,000,000=ten billion 100,000,000,000=one/a hundred billion 需要注意的是hundred,thousand,million,billion等詞前面有具體數(shù)字或several修飾時(shí),，不加-s,。如：The magazine has two million readers.這本雜志有200萬(wàn)的讀者。
　　如果不與數(shù)詞或several連用,，則可以以復(fù)數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)，表示“數(shù)以百計(jì)”,、“成千上萬(wàn)”等,。如：hundreds of people 數(shù)百人;thousands upon thousands成千上萬(wàn);hundreds of thousands of幾十萬(wàn)，無(wú)數(shù),。 2.倍數(shù)的表示方法(1)用…times表示,。如： My room is three times as large as yours. 我的房間是你的三倍大小。 (2)如果表示“是……的兩倍”,，一般用twice,。如： My room is twice as large as yours.我的房間是你的兩倍大小。
　　(3)用-fold表示,。如： The value of the stock has increased two-fold since we bought it. 股票的價(jià)值已經(jīng)漲至我們購(gòu)買(mǎi)時(shí)候的兩倍,。
　　(4)用%表示。如： The collection of our school library is 200% up compared with 1998. 我們學(xué)校圖書(shū)館藏書(shū)量與1998年相比增長(zhǎng)了一倍,。
　　(5)用double(翻一番),，triple(三倍于)等詞表示倍數(shù)。如： Many things now cost doublewhat they did a few years ago. 許多東西比數(shù)年前貴了一倍,。 In the past five years the company has tripled its sales. 過(guò)去五年中,，該公司銷(xiāo)售量增至三倍。
