一,、開(kāi)頭

在任何文章的寫(xiě)作中，有創(chuàng)意的開(kāi)頭至關(guān)重要,。一個(gè)好的開(kāi)頭能吸引讀者的注意力,，能讓讀者獲悉文章的主題，同時(shí)也奠定了文章的基調(diào),。文章開(kāi)頭的寫(xiě)法有多種,，例如:通過(guò)敘述一個(gè)故事或一樁軼事、引用別人的話,、提出問(wèn)題等引導(dǎo)讀者進(jìn)入主題:“開(kāi)門見(jiàn)山”,，直入主題等等。請(qǐng)看以下例證:

(1)敘述一個(gè)故事或軼事

"Never give up," my mother has always said to me. I gained strength from her words every time I was faced with difficulties and was about to give up. When I was in high school, my mother was laid off by her company. But with the help from the local government and her own determination, she started her own printing business, which has been very successful. With my mother as an example, I have learned to be independent and hard-working for I know success is the result of one's determination and hard work.

(2)引用別人的話

Raymond Moore observes that: "The biggest shortcoming of mass education is the fact that students end up completely turned off to learning." Or as BertrandRussell ruefully concluded: "We are faced with the paradox that education has become one of the chief obstacles of intelligence and freedom of thought."

(3)提出問(wèn)題

Why do you choose“East Asia Research” as the place to further your studies? Now much do you know about this institution? What strengths do you think you have compared with any other applicants? These questions are often asked not only by my friends but also by myself. To me, this decision was not made on a sudden impulse but on the belief that has been held in my mind for a long time.
